July 12, 2008 – Copperhead – near sand box, seen while Josiah was finishing the mowing. He and Scott killed it. = (
July 11, 2008 – Black Rat Snake (five feet long!) – found by Josiah while mowing in the evening. He was under a tree along Coffee Road, but moved under the hydrangea bush, then under the propane tank, then into the generator cabinet. We assume he lives under the smokehouse.
April 8, 2008 – Northern Red-Bellied Snake – front yard while trimming around the wilting daffodils with a scissors! I sliced him. = (
